Donna Geddes

Professor Donna Geddes is a renowned lactation scientist that has carried out ground-breaking research unravelling the complexities of the physiology of breastfeeding. Her research program studies lactation in a holistic manner endeavouring to provide the knowledge to underpin evidence-based practices in lactation. A major focus of her research is identifying the causes of low milk production to enable development of both diagnostics and effective treatments for this escalating issue. Donna is the Director of the Geddes Hartmann Human Lactation Research Group and UWA Centre for Human Lactation Research and Translation. She is also the Milk Sensor Lead for the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Next-Gen Technologies in Biomedical Analysis.
