- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of New South Wales in the Lab of Ruiting Lan. I work on bacterial population genomics of various clinically relevant bacterial species, focussing on Salmonella. I use the large amount of publicly available genome data to the develop new approaches (particularly multilevel genome typing) for the application of next generation sequencing data to both short and long term epidemiology. I completed my PhD at the University of Melbourne under Alex Andrianopoulos where I applied comparative genomics and molecular biology to understand the pathogenicity of the dimorphic pathogenic fungus, Talaromyces marneffei.
