Parthasarathi Kalaiselvan is a postdoctoral research fellow and Associate lecturer at the School of Optometry and Vision Science at UNSW Sydney. His work centres on investigating, developing and validating novel antimicrobial contact lenses and lens cases to prevent contact lens-related infection and inflammation. He has a keen interest in translational research in clinical optometry, having done work to move from basic research to animal model validations and finally into human clinical research. He draws upon his experiences with patients to guide the end goals of his research and has assembled an international collaborative research network.
